Phun is a very entertaining and addictive piece of software for designing and exploring 2D multi-physics simulations. It takes just a couple of minutes to get use the the functions, but once you get it going you can let you imagination make some pretty interesting things. It was created as a Master of Science Thesis by Computer Science student, Emil Ernerfeldt at the Umeå University. It is multi platform, and easy to install on Ubuntu.
Installation
The easiest way to install Phun is going to http://getdeb.net/app/Phun and downloading the .deb for your version of Ubuntu. The version at the time I am writing this was 0.0.35. There are tutorials on the phun website at http://www.phun.at/
